July 2/08: The new short story (okay, not so short as it ranges in at 85,000 words) has been sent and accepted for the new book Anthology Of The Living Dead. It's called Matty and I had a lot of fun writing it. I don't do zombie stories very well. I've always found then to be done to death (pardon the pun), but this one, I think, is outside the spectrum while keeping the general genre intact.

It's due out (if all goes well) in October and will be published by Triad Publishing. I'll make note of where to buy it as soon as it's released.

Also, I'll be winging my way overseas again on July 25th. I'll be hanging in Northern England for over a month at the boyfriend's house and generally making a nuisance of myself. While I'm there (and in between keeping my youngest son from chasing the dog) I'll be writing a new novel set in Whitehaven, which is just outside of where I'll be staying. I'm hoping it will flow with ease as I'll be immersed in the culture. I'll be back the first week in September and gearing up for book signings in the wake of Darkness Springs.

So, that's it kiddies. Hope everyone has a fantastic summer and I'll update on you my adventures in the U.K. as I can.

Best - Cassie

June 4/08:
A quickie here. The Ladies of Horror short is in to the proper people. It's called Jake and, next to The Raising, it's got some of the most violent sex scenes I've ever written.

Also, Ive been asked to contribute to a new novel coming out called Anthology Of The Living Dead. I've already begun writing for this one and it will be a twist on the standard zombie theme.

And... HELP is now available, so make sure to get your copy. It benefits Preditors and Editors battle against P.A. This is one helluva worthwhile cause - trust me!

I've been in touch with my marketer and he tells me, Darkness Springs is just about ready for release. I should be winging my way around to signings in the near future.

Hope everyone has a fantastic summer and I'll try and update at least once while enjoying the sun.

Cheers - Cassie

May 16/08: Rite... and so I'm back from England. The trip was entirely too short, but I am taking heart in the fact, I'll be back again come the summer. It was brilliant! Simply brilliant! The weather couldn't have been nicer and as far as the personal stuff went... I've never been happier in my life.

Now, in the biz side of stuff... I am still finishing up the project for Ladies of Horror, but while I was overseas, I did wrangle a few photos for it. The rest will come when my better half is over here in a few weeks. Not only is he a wonderful boyfriend, but he never complains when I make him take the same pic over and over.

I'm trying to get this last bit of project done as I have another novel waiting in the sidelines. It's a ghost story of sorts, and it's set in Northern England. I was inspired by a true story I was told. Summer Passes has not been forgotten and I'm going to attempt writing both at the same time. There's something to be said for stupidity.

That's it, I guess. HELP should be available damn quick, so make sure you get your copy. As well, Darkness Springs is looming around the corner and I'm stoked for its release. Here's to a productive summer!

Cheers, Cassie

April 17/08: Another project in the works called Wicked Tales is a reworking of fairy tales aimed at adults. My story, The Three Little Kittens, still has pies and lost mittens, but this ain't no kids tale. Mum's a slut and the 3 lads are a vengeful brood. Look for Wicked Tales later this year.

April 14/08:
It's been a quick winter. Very quick. Spring is in the air and with it, I have another anthology I'll be included in. Help is a novel chalk full of brilliant authors, all coming together to aid the Preditors and Editors website. It's a fantastic website that authors, editors, illustrators, publicists, you name it, have turned to at one time or another for information and advice. Look for it. Buy it.

Also, I'm adding my work to two other projects. The first is Ladies of Horror, a novel being put out by Word Weavers. The second is a collaborative effort called Edward Ballister. Both these will be out later this year. Darkness Springs is nearly here and my marketer tells me it should be ready for release by the end of May or beginning of June.

In personal stuff, I'll be heading overseas to England in a couple of weeks for a bit of well deserved rest. Hope everyone has a great Spring.

Cheers, Cassie

January 21/08: Just a quick note that Norm Applegate has a nice review of my book Darkness Springs now up on his site. My thanks to Norm for taking time out of his busy schedule to have a read and give me his opinion. You can check it out here. Cheers -Cassie

New Shit - Jan 17/08: New look, new year, blah dee blah. Two new anthologies are winging their way out in the next while. Darkened Horizons and Word Weavers Horror Anthology. I'll be contributing to these two ditties. Gonna be lots of brilliant reading throughout. Life in general? Spot on! It's going to be all too entirely busy in 2008, but that leaves me no time to get bored now, does it? I'll be jumping on an airplane more than likely a couple of times this year and white-knuckling it across the pond. If you see a strange chick at Heathrow with pink hair, staggering from one too many drinks and drooling all over a blond punk with PVC trousers pleading for his life, dat's me, lol. Rite...so have a good one. Cheers -Cassie

A special shout out to Word Weavers for the fantastic trading card!
